LOGLINE:
Bernie Napolino, compelled to leave the Chicago Mob Life behind, retreats south to save his daughter, with a prospect to find serenity in Texas Black Gold, only to discover the dangers of fracking.

SYNOPSIS:
From the windy city to the wild west, Chicago restaurateur Bernie Napolino leads the mob on a wild quest, to the big state of Texas. His partner Tony Scalia, in debt to his eyeballs brings Bernie into his gambling woes when he skims from the mobs money laundering hustle. On the run, they fall into the sights of swindler Newton Hardeman, who hooks them with an oil drilling scheme, however by this time, Newt has landed on the Rail Road Commissions agenda for his subterfuge. To Bernie’s surprise, he finds of his lost love under the thumb of an abusive husband; the same Newton Hardeman. On top of this is a revenge scheme that means to shake the foundations of Texas, by injecting fracking wastewater into an ancient fault, causing the largest earthquake Texas has ever seen. Now Bernie must do what he can to save his daughter and loved ones from the dangers of deceit and manipulation of a Texas madman.

BERNIE NAPOLINO:
A streetwise restaurateur. He’s trusting and loyal to those he loves, almost to a fault.
Al Dias

Best known for his debut role as the Loan Shark Michael in the feature film “The Ringer” starring Johnny Knoxville and Katherine Heigl. Al Dias has worked with many talented individuals including some of the biggest names in the industry such as The Legendary Chuck Norris, Brian Cox, the creative mastermind Robert Rodriguez, Danny Trejo, The Farrelly Brothers and more.

Perfecting his craft you can see Al in such films as Machete, Spy Kids 4D, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Mission Air and more. While anxiously the distribution schedule of his last feature film by “Strait and Narrow” as the lead Cartel muscle, Al will deliver his most intense and physical performance to date. Newt Hardeman is a man on a mission, he’s out to find the best possible partner to invest in an oil well in Texas, as he’s done time and time again. This time he has his eyes set on Tony Scalia.
Josh Brolin

Armand Assante

Mark Boone Junior is an actor, known for Memento (2000), Batman Begins (2005) and 30 Days of Night (2007). AL DIAS has been involved with the entertainment industry for over 25 years and is accredited with Honors Certification in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management. Starting off his career in the music industry as an Independent Record Label owner/producer led to his introduction to Television and Film and attended the Art Institute of Dallas in 1995.

Having worked with many talented and gifted individuals such as Chuck Norris, Brian Cox and Johnny Knoxville, Robert Rodriguez and Danny Trejo, The Farrelly Brothers and more has provided a foundation for Mr. Dias to build and expand his pursuits into productions of great significance while getting more involved as an Executive Producer/ Producer/ Writer.

With several films in post-production and a diversified slate Mr. Dias plans to deliver not only a great performance when cast but productions with substance……. American Classics for audiences to enjoy globally.

YOSHIE LEWIS has been working professionally in various arenas of the entertainment business since 1983. In 2004, she completed a MA in Producing Film and Video at the American University in Washington, DC. While completing that degree, her diligence added two box office hits under her belt as she worked for one of the Executive Producers on National Treasure and revered director, Geoff Moore on xxx:State of the Union.

Since 2004, she has worked as a camera operator, coordinator, and production manager on various indie films, as well as on TV shows for FUSE, CMT, and ESPN2. In 2008, Yoshie became established as a network producer and is currently in production on a film for PBS. She is well versed in research and writing, as well as budgets and logistics. Amongst her other credits are three history books for Arcadia Publishing and is an Associate member of The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She is a founder and the current president of the Nashville Japanese Film Festival and is a member of the Japan-America Society of Tennessee, as well as the Tennessee Historical Society.

Director

Born in Rome, Italy, ALESSANDRO “Al” CAPONE began his career in the theater, both as writer and director, where he garnered many successes and accolades, including an original comedy that enjoyed a continuous run of over 20 years. It is on the theatrical stage that Alessandro honed his skills in character development as well as his passion and love for working with actors, something that to this day he considers “the most fascinating aspect” of his job.

Following his motion picture directorial debut in 1989, Alessandro’s body of work includes well over 100 prime-time television episodes, including comedy, drama, action and thriller and, to date, nine feature films.  Some of the actors he has directed include, Isabelle Huppert, Melanie Laurent (whom he discovered in Paris and later went on to work with Tarantino in “Inglorious Bastards”), Olivier Gourmet, Greta Scacchi, Pat Morita, Rutger Hauer, Darryl Hanna, Michael Madsen, Stephen Baldwin, Kristanna Loken, Danny Glover, Ian Bannen, including the 2014 release Death Squad and the soon to be released Made For You, a thriller that was shot on location, in Malta.

Chris Ekstein directs and shoots national commercial campaigns as a co-founder of Market Street Productions in Venice, CA (Warner Bros, American Airlines). While obtaining his MFA at the American Film Institute, Panavision awarded Chris the New Filmmaker Grant on his 35mm thesis The Pros and Cons of Breathing.  He has been the DP of award winning features such as Callous (Indie Fest-Best Picture), Mexican Sunrise (WorldFest Gold Award) starring Armand Assante and Gunnin’ For That #1 Spot (Tribeca Film Festival) with director Adam Yauch (Beastie Boys). A member of IATSE Local 600 and the S.O.C., Chris was the recipient of the prestigious Alfred P. Sloan Award and won best cinematography at the American International Film Festival in 2010. Before receiving his BFA at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Chris was the first American to be accepted to Rose Bruford College of Drama known for producing such respected actors as Gary Oldman. Having just wrapped a Netflix series for the Jim Henson Co, Chris is currently shooting a romantic thriller feature for Mar Vista Entertainment called: Missed Connections.

HEATHER ALEXANDER has been involved in the entertainment industry since the early 90’s as an Actor when a local Casting Director discovered her. In 1998, she joined LDJ Film Productions as a Director Rep and produced TV commercials for over eleven years and currently serving as the President of The Dallas Screenwriters Association.

 

Heather has worn many hats in the industry from Acting to behind the camera and began pursuing her passion for Writing in 2005. She continues her creative assets currently with several projects in various stages of development. She is a current Board member of the Dallas Screenwriters Association and Writer of an Award Winning Sitcom that was in the top percent in the Creative Writing awards in 2013. Heather resides in Texas with her husband and daughter Ashley and continues to deliver a wide range of literary properties for all ages.

Screen Play Co-Writer / Graphic Art Design

DANIEL ROSALES has been an artist for well over 25 years. His work has hung in galleries through out the State of Texas, and in private collections from Louisiana to England; his unique vision continues to inspire the creative, with a series of “Magic paintings” still used by magicians across the US. Daniel has served with the nonprofit Endeavor Cinema Group, was a founding member & Manager of the Fort Worth Indie Film Showcase, and still serves on an advisory capacity. Daniel has also illustrated a children’s book, and designed websites and posters for many filmmakers domestically throughout North America.

His latest project is a multi award winning short film.
